Dr. Huguette Duteau
Dr. Huguette Duteau received her degree as a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Howard University in Washington D.C. She was a co-recipient of the prestigious Restorative Award and also voted Best Hands by her peers. Dr. Duteau furthered her training during her General Practice Residency at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University Harlem Hospital in New York City. During her residency, Dr. Duteau not only practiced general dentistry but also gained an extensive experience in oral surgery.
As years went by Dr. Duteau expanded her clinical protocols to include principles of biological dentistry. She became an active member of the highly respected International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. She also became an appointed Board Member and Board Certified Biological Dentist by the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine. Dr. Duteau also trained under the late Dr. Hal Huggins, an internationally recongized father of holistic dentistry. His revolutionary approach centers around delicate human biology and naturally occurring immune cycles that must be taken into account when performing dental revision. She became a proficient practitioner of Huggins-Grube Protocol and to this day she practices with Dr. Blanche Grube at Centers for Healing in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Dr. Duteau is very excited to have joined White Sands Dentistry and to be able to offer these unique services to the local clientele. Her mission is to help people improve and maintain their oral health whereby improving their systemic health and overall quality of life.
A native of Haiti, Dr. Duteau loves giving back to her community and this year marks the 12th year of her annual dental mission to her home country. It is a part of her life's passion to share her gifts and improve people's lives through charitable work.
